About Sakcable

Founded in 1958, Sakcable is Georgia’s first cable manufacturing plant and has been a key driving force behind the development of the country’s cable industry for more than six decades.

Throughout its history, the company has continuously introduced innovative technologies, modern production methods, and European standards, contributing to the growth and modernization of local manufacturing.

Today, Sakcable employs more than 300 people and manufactures a wide range of internationally certified cable products for residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and energy applications.

Alongside its own production, the company offers a diverse selection of electrical products through nine stores across Georgia and an extensive dealer and distribution network.

With a growing presence across European and international markets, Sakcable continues to invest in advanced technologies, product development, digital transformation, and improved operational efficiency.

Our goal is to drive the continued growth of Georgia’s cable industry while strengthening Sakcable’s position as a modern, innovative, and globally competitive company.

The first Georgian cable manufacturing plant begins operations in Zestafoni

International Recognition (ISO)

Sakcable is awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for high-quality management by the international certification body TÜV SÜD

2014

Innovation: Halogen-Free Cables

Sakcable begins manufacturing eco-friendly, halogen-free cables that do not release toxic gases in the event of a fire

First Fire-Resistant Cables

Production of the first fire-resistant cables begins on the local market. These cables continue to supply uninterrupted power to emergency systems even under critical conditions

First Exports to Europe

Following the plant's third major upgrade, production capacity increases, and the company begins exporting its products to the European Union

Global Expansion and Sector Cables

The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and South America are added to Sakcable's export network, while production of sector cables - an entirely new product category for the Georgian market - begins.

New Management and ABC Cables

A new management team takes the helm. Following a plant modernization, the company introduces Georgia's first local production of ABC (Aerial Bundled Cables) for overhead power lines

Partnership with Schneider Electric

Sakcable becomes an official partner of the global giant Schneider Electric in Georgia, expanding its electrical product portfolio

European Accreditation and CE Marking

The plant's quality control laboratory receives accreditation in compliance with European regulations. Sakcable products are granted the CE marking, enabling free trade across the European market

Transition to Green Energy

A solar power plant is installed on the factory roof, replacing one-third of the energy consumed in production with renewable green energy

Solar Cables and New Markets

For the first time in Georgia, production of solar and armored cables begins. Sakcable expands its export footprint to the Middle East
